To qualify for a 'standard installation' you must meet these requirements:
- You must not be on a 'looped supply'.
- Your existing consumer unit must be metal.
- Your existing consumer unit must already have a 'Type A RCD'.
- Your existing consumer unit must already have surge protection installed.
- Your existing consumer unit must have spare capacity for an additional circuit.
Included in a 'standard installation' package is the following:
- An EV charging point of your choice.
- 1 x MCB or RCBO.
- 5m x EV ultra 6mm high-tuff cable.
- Drilling through 1 external wall.
- Cable clips and fixings.
- Cable glands.
- Testing/inspection & commissioning.
- All relevant certification/notification applications.
